How Simply Prioritizing “Self” Changes Your Life.

Nature is Love. Nature is Therapy. Nature is Self Love.

If you don’t prioritize yourself, who the hell will? We take for granted the beautiful being that chose us. We allow ourselves to get sloppy. Over drinking, overeating, not exercising, not growing spiritually or emotionally. Repeating bad habits and patterns over and over. Wake the F up! Get your head out of your arce. Pick yourself up and actually care. Set an intention to care about yourself so your gifts can be fully exploited and experienced, and so those around you can be part of you being your best self. There is no age limit or requirement. This is open to all, it is our responsibility, our birthright, our duty, so let’s open this can up.

Physically, let’s start with self care as this leads into self love which leads into you being a better version of yourself, its all connected.

Super Easy Self-Care Guidelines:

  • Every time you look in the mirror, look in your eyes, hold the gaze for a moment, then tell yourself “I love you”. You can say it aloud or through your thoughts, and smile after.
  • Start flossing your teeth daily and brush your damn teeth before bed too, you should brush after every meal. Slow and gentle, no race, not trying to make your gums peel off, soft and loving. No more 10 seconds of turbo brush.
  • Start washing your feet and hands really good, even after you go pee, it feels good and its just right.
  • Clip your nails regularly. Come on, nobody wants to see whatever the hell is under those nails, and from whenever.
  • Shower 2x daily if possible, even if one is only a rinse of the, feet, pits and parts, one in morning one before bed.
  • Correct your posture, be conscious of it always as it is an indicator of self-confidence. Stand chest high, chin high, shoulders back, eyes up and engaged….doesn’t that feel so good?
  • Change masturbation to self pleasure. If you are doing it, don’t ejaculate as it gives your power away, do it with love, take your time, make it an event with joy and love, you don’t get an award for speed or aggression. There is much information online regarding ancient wisdoms regarding this. Evaluate your own energy though, what happens when you are “done”?
  • Set bare-minimum, non-negotiable daily exercise goals. Some days may be minimum 30 min walk, or maybe a combo like, 30 burpees, 30 min dog walk, 5 min breathing, 5 minute stillness (eyes open), and 5 minute silent visualization or meditation. Your body is worth 30–45 mins per day.
  • Get rid of any overly worn, over sized, been there and done that clothing, let’s freshen you up, we are building up that love and self confidence. You are a new, fresh, and vibrant stallion! Cool story you wore that shirt in college, it is ok to say goodbye.
  • Sleep. Sleep is no longer the first thing you sacrifice to get the job done. Sleep is a gateway to higher awareness. Set a bare minimum in the range of 7 hours.
  • Breathe Consciously. 3 times per day minimum, sit upright, close your eyes and take 10 breaths. Total investment time is roughly 5 mins. You can also do a quick YouTube search on specifics, like morning breathwork, or 10 min breathwork routine.
  • Ultimately…..start CARING! It will change your life. It all relates the energy, positive or negative is a positive or negative charge.

Those were some of the physical things, you may call them material things but as noted above, they all carry energy and we want to clear out old energy and activate the new, so we feel fresh, alive, revitalized!

When I say act as the God you are, just close your eyes, and breathe in that statement, and visualize the most Godly version of yourself. I am not talking all religious, just visualize your strong, svelte, smiling, glowing, radiant, flowing, confident, powerful, divine, basically your perfect version of yourself. Capture that visual. Save it to the hard drive, your true hardwiring, in fact it is already there because you just dusted it off for this example.

So other than the physical stuff, what else does self-care embody? Honestly, what does it not? Let us touch on the the other bodies that need some TLC?

Mentally, are you working on strengthening the strongest muscle in the body, the brain? Additionally, there is “mindfulness” which focuses on present moment awareness. Do you know what mental strength is? Not from a book, but from feeling, from experience? Being strong mentally helps to create your power, your voice, your growth, your inspiration, your passions. A few questions may help answer this question of what growing mentally is.

Are you reading books that are thought provoking, insightful, contemplative or targeted toward an interest or passion?

Are you connecting with nature daily?

Are you listening to high vibe music, music that is beyond violence and degrading of women? This includes auditory stimulation such as, love frequency, sound bowl healing, binaural beats, etc.

Are you learning new things? Are you challenging yourself to learn new things, maybe a new instrument, or new language? These are just a few to help make you aware of how to shift. Mindfulness is critical for expansion too. Mindfulness, in its simplest form, is bringing your awareness into the present moment, with gratitude and acknowledgement of what is. There are tons of exercises to practice mindfulness.

Start with rudimentary things we put zero thought in, like walking, talking, eating, driving, listening, watching, essentially anything we are “doing”. Slow down and breathe, then breathe again, then again, then again, then again. Become aware of every step, the wind, the trees, the smells, the movement of your body, or the tension and bring awareness to it. With Eating, slow the F-down, enjoy the food, each bite as if this could be your last taste of this luscious item, that which you are consciously choosing to nourish your body with, bless it, send love to all the aspects of that food, the farmers, the animals, the distributors, the cooks, the servers, etc. Our mind is hungry and fertile, feed in high vibes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sleep space.

Emotionally, are you in touch with your emotions. Are you allowing them to flow or are you suppressing them? Have you cried recently. Have you shouted in a productive way lately, like if you are at a river, or in your pillow, shouting until the suppressed emotion is all out? Are you writing and expressing your feelings, your gratitude, your passions, and ideas? Are you sharing with loved ones how you feel immediately or are you harnessing and suppressing them. Are you having open hearted conversations with other man, or just stuck talking about work, family, women or sports? This one is big, this is the one where there is a ton of conditioning and programming on how we share emotion, what it means to “man up”. Times are changing from the man’s role and responsibilities. Historical energy has the man image evolving from the physical strength, toxic masculinity, bravado, sole money maker, but also fear of sharing and expressing feelings and emotions. Playing “tough” thus not to appear weak. Now softness is strength. Gentleness is strength. Sharing and expressing with rawness and free is MANLY. Emotion is energy in motion, it has to move, it is designed to move, let that shit flow like the river. Participating in connection circles, mens groups, mens retreats, listening to podcasts regarding this, documentaries, etc, these resources are there for use all, our willingness to evolve and expand is the first step.

Spiritually, this is another one that I had no idea about. First, let me say I didn’t have an idea what spiritual meant because my naive understanding was from a kid that was not involved with a church or synagogue or any form of worship growing up. I thought spiritual and religious were synonymous. My parents let me believe whatever was in my highest alignment that brought me joy. I thought spiritual stuff was for women, they were more into that stuff, it seemed fluffy, pie-in the sky, if I couldn’t see, touch, hear, sniff or eat it, I didn’t understand it. This perspective is narrow, but in the same, it provides context to the unknown of spiritual or what anyones connection or comprehension is of the term. For me, this means the quest of going inward. Of finding out who you really are. Behind the avatar. Remembering who we are. Finding where we come from. Big expansive questions without answers. To go inside to connect with the observer of my body and mind, the driver, the energy, the essence, that which is alive when I am sleeping, the non-physical self, the multidimensional self. There are many ways to begin to access this, here are some of the fastest and easiest. Clear the clutter out of your physical life, we have entirely too many distractions. Start to declutter your home, your car, your inbox, your to do list, your responsibilities, your commitments, your over scheduled calendar. Also With this open space start tapping into your inner passions and desires, tap into your creativity through music or art, set time aside for meditation where the noise of the outside world is tuned off. Connect with nature with no agenda, look up and feel and connect with all the beauty. Be open. Be open to receiving new information. I won’t go in too much detail about plant medicines, but they are widely popular for tapping into your “higher-self” and other-dimensional realities. When any or all or a combination of them is done intentionally these experiences can change peoples lives forever.

This short message does not include everything, it is just a kick start. However starting to love yourself more, and care for yourself more is a great start to your higher awareness, or said simply your best life. What you feed our body is the fuel. Remember there is more than just your physical body…
